That's an amazing coincidence, about the builder/contractor thing. I can say that there are at least three buiding families considering this move and posting on this board now, including ours. We have ten children, ranging in ages from 30 to 5, with several grandchildren, but coming with us would be (for sure) our 15 year old, 13 year old, 7 year old, and 5 year old, so four children from ages 5 - 15. And yes, community is important to us, too. At least knowing other likeminded families are nearby would be important to us. I have sometimes wished we were Amish/Mennonite, but I am sure God has plans for others to share workloads and help one another as well. God bless! Shannon |

It sure would be neat if those who are moving could somehow do it together...use the same lawyer, etc. We have 8 children and they would love to know if they would have any friends their age going???? Our oldest is 13, then the baby is 18 months. We are just starting our research. My husband builds and could hire the people there to work for him. Is there a need for builders? We homeschool near Dallas. My husband is self-employed and works with our children on small remodels, etc. Also, he is contracting a house and loves gardening. Is there a way to post photos of ours and other's families on here? |

Hello, I wanted to write to contact the family in Idaho who is making arrangements for relocation to Belize, we are praying about a possible relocation as well. We live in Maine and are Homeschoolers, about six months ago we felt that maybe the Lord was leading us to pray for the country of Belize. It was amazing when in the latest NGJ magazine I read about Belize - the very country we have been praying for! My husband and I are not sure of what lies ahead, but if the family in Idaho (or other families who are making arrangements) would like to add us to their email list maybe we can form some type of a discussion group? My email is: christyncade@hotmail.com Thanks for the information & those that posted links, we are researching and praying about next steps. |

We are extremely interested in this. We are making arrangements for leaving. Packing, Passports, getting rid of animals, We have found these 2 sites that have been a wealth of knowledge for us: http://www.belizenorth.com/index.html http://www.emmc.ca/index.php They both have been of interest to my husband. We have found that we are going to have to secure a lawyer for buying land but it sounds like it is very do-able. As long as we can all stick together we can make this work. My husband will have more to say about this later though, just wanted to share the links we have found. Kyle and Delyssa Lewiston, Idaho |
